Viv got married!

Yet another entry in Adam's blog, without Adam (sorry everyone, next entry will be about Adam). This weekend Matt & I and Grammy Jo & Pops went down to Blacksburg VA for Vivian's wedding. We drove the 12 hrs down to the Burg on Friday and arrived early enough to check out the Virginia Tech campus a bit and see the memorial from 4-16-07. The campus has grown quite a bit since we had last been there, but there was always the familiar Burruss Hall and Drillfield.

Afterwards, we went to Beula's house for a BBQ with Viv & John and the rest of their families. They had an awesome setup in the backyard for tailgating (even though there wasn't a game)...they had a huge grill, big screen TV, stove, fridge (filled with beer) and delicious food! The weather was perfect and we all had a great time!

On Saturday we got our nails done and went to the bridesmaid luncheon (another delicious meal!). The rehearsal at Mountain Lake was that afternoon, and if it looks familiar, you probably recognize it from the movie "Dirty Dancing" since part of it was filmed there.

Following the rehearsal, we were able to get some shopping in at the Tech bookstore and bought plenty of Hokie stuff for Adam. The rehearsal dinner was at Gillies in downtown B'burg and was another delicious meal (yes, I feel like all we did was eat and drink the entire weekend :) ). After that, we ended the night watching the last part of the Hokie game at at bar (big Al's) downtown.

Sunday was the big day, and I started off with a yummy oat fudge bar from Bollo's. :) We all went up to Mountain Lake early to get beautiful. The wedding went wonderful! The weather was great, Viv looked beautiful, and it was a great time had by all. I will try and post some more pictures sometime soon...
Congrats Viv and John!

While we were gone, Adam enjoyed himself at Grandma's & Grandpa's this weekend...playing with cousin Jakob and Jazmine the dog. Here is a picture of him from last week when he was helping Matt build a table. Adam knows, safety comes first! :)
