Uncle Robbie got married!

Yes, Uncle Rob and Aunt Lisa have tied the knot! Matt and I went out to San Jose, CA for the big celebration. Adam had a great time with Grandma, Grandpa, the dog Jazmine and cousins Jakob and Kayla while we were gone. You will have to forgive me for posting so many pictures (and they don't even have Adam in them!), but those lovebirds looked so good, I just had to include a bunch.

Starting off the big day, we headed over to the Pham's house for the traditional Vietnamese ceremony. The Reckis family gathered outside to enter as a group where the women had pink umbrellas and some of the men brought in gifts (and Matt had a white umbrella...I don't know how he ended up with that). The Pham family greeted all of us as we entered, very similar to a recieving line.

Inside the house, Lisa and the bridesmaids made their entrance wearing their beautiful traditional Vietnamese dresses. Then there were exchanges of gifts, more introductions of both families and the serving of tea to the parents and grandparents by the bride and groom. There was food a-plenty too! After that ceremony, we headed over to the church for the second ceremony.
The reception was held at Hotel Valencia in San Jose. I was lucky enough to follow the photographer around the area to snap some of my own photos of Rob and Lisa.

Check out these cute flower girls....
Congrats Rob and Lisa!

Since we were flying out to CA for the wedding, Matt and I decided to make it into a little vacation too, and so we spent some time in San Fran, Tahoe, and Reno. We missed Adam terribly, but we were thankful that we didn't have to worry about a cranky, overtired toddler at the wedding who would want to go to bed at 4pm and wake up at 3am (no way we could have adjusted him to west coast time in time for the wedding).
Since this is Adam's Blog, I had to include a couple of pics of him. Here he is helping Matt make a bench.
